Fear not, not everyone is crazy about chainsaws like the folks on here. I guess you've read some of the posts and thought these guys are nuts, I agree 100%. The way they carry on you would think they have saws over their bed and a shed full behind the house, totally uncalled for and right down crazy. I own a skill saw, thats all.

Oh I don't think anyone on here is crazy - I like fooling with saws all year long - just wondered if the rest of you do too. Matt

I know what your saying there. I guess saws could be a good hobby but I never really got much into saws, one would be plenty for me. I do like playing on this site though, hehe

Based on being a regular on AS, I'd say I'm a lot more into my saws during the fall / winter when I'm cutting the next year's firewood. I seem to find myself coming here during that time (I was a lurker 2 years before I joined), then I start fishing and find myself over on a fishing forum for a few months.

But, with 'two track' roads in the woods on my place in Louisiana, I often find a chainsaw in my hands during my 'off season' as well since there is always a tree down somewhere. But if I can push it out of the road with the tractor I'll do that and save the cutting until the fall.

If you've ever run a saw in the woods of the Deep South during the summer you can understand my schedule. :)

Year round addiction now running and fixing saws. Replaces the adrenaline rush i used to get bracket racing.

year round for me also.
you made me think of cutting in the summer, hit alot of yellow jackets and ants"those little red buggers bite" last year....... ahh and the seven minute itch too, maybe cutting in the cold is not so bad!!!!

All day,everyday...Except for these last few weeks business has been slow,I'm enjoying it though because in about another month,I'll he bustin' it

I'm Not an addict.

I only buy chainsaws I need. I can quite buying and tinkering any time I just do it because I like it.
Year round.Wife's trying to get rustic furniture going. Take out a few trees a year for friends or neighbors, and cut as much fire wood as I can.

I'm off of my regular job on Friday's,so I try and help my husband on those days...So once a week for me,all year long....I do have to go out from time to time and work up some firewood from the wood piles out back

I used to race cars too, if'n I go overboard on a chainsaw mod it's much cheaper then putting a rod though the side of a big block chevy (but I'd feel just as bad)

year round

I use my saws year round, every day a lot. Not as much now, there is too much snow on the ground. Logging operations where shut down for a couple weeks here because of too much snow. But all my saws are workers. Except the hot saw I want to build.;) :D :rockn:

I use my saws all year round.

At the cottage

At home

For Work

For money

For fun

After a full day of school it's just about my only salvation. There is always something to be cut as well.
