Not a good idea. It's already covered by locals and the nationals and they are open to everyone. It's a lot of work just to duplicate an effort that is very well taken care of.

Dan

That's silly, and not fiendly! It is a great idea. We all have beat each other up enough and been there in problem solving. It would be a very note worthy event.

Ya, I like it, and Butch you can eat all you want, since it will have to be Big Johns refrigerator on the truck.

It might be the time and place for the Seniors Climb, my son the physist is working on a handicaping equation.

And there are so many old farts on this site that it would be good. What do you think?

Jack

Darn I just went back and reread my post about the red oaks. Yeah I did mean the red wood. Been in plenty of big red aoks. The senior event sounds good Jack. Is there where the retired guys like Roachy will be climbing? If not maybe thats where I will be with the old farts. I'd like to get a cool prize for once.

I would definately win the pig-eating contest!!!!:p

I like the idea of this. Perhaps two or 3 same/similar events going on at the same time in 3 different places across the country, that way more people COULD go.

Tom, you know you'll see me at those Redwoods. Third time's a charm!

Rocky, Baltimore is a lovely city! Open your eyes, buddy!

No way, Ho-zay. I have the unique ability to store massive amounts of food into my unusually modest mid-riff. Read that as...

I can be a bottomless pit, when called for.

I could whup that little jap food eating champion. I just don't wanna go pro.

Any of ya'll ever ate that bigarse steak that ya get for free if ya finish it? Phttt. I could chomp it easy, along with the baked potato and salad.

I keep this power at bay most of the time.

I gotta keep my girlish figure!

How many of you are going to the climb this September in Nebraska?

http://www.treeclimbercoalition.org/

TCI isn't a vacation for most people, its a weekend trade show. Baltimore has been a fun town every time that I've been there. Three TCI, ISA and a couple of ANSI-Z133 meetings in town have all been great.

If anyone is interested in a get together, get signed up for the TCIA Day of Service in Detroit in conjunction with TCI Expo. After spending the day with 600 other arbos in '98 at Arlington National Cemetary I'll be back. That was a very special day. Being part of an event that shows the best of our profession gave me a great feeling. Maybe someone could set up an AS team at the Day of Service.

Brian, Orlando will pass as Central---Florida.:D I like Kenn's view of central. Colo. Springs sounds great! I won't compete in the climbing events but will gladly watch those while helping Butch with the eating.;)

I just want you to feel like someone is close enough in the competition so that you are pushed to do your best Butch.;)

Tom,
In regard to the climb in Nebraska this September. I've heard a little about this from Dan House. As i surfed through the site which you posted link to. I came upon a Nebraska climb this september. However, it seemed to me to be more along the lines of training coarses. It appeared to be quite expensive. I'd been under the impression the climb was going to be on the recreational level and that it would be free of charge. Who knows i may have found the wrong information. Do you know any more info about the climb? Will anyone be attending. I'd love to be there.

September climb work or play moot point; happens the day before midatlantic ISA conference. :(

Re AS gettogethers, Saturday Aug 7 in Pittsburgh I'll be ready to get loose that night, after the BCMA test. First drink will be on me.

Guy,

I'm totally there. I might even see you around on Friday. I'm flying in around 12:30. I;ll be at the TCC Sat and Sunday. Who else will be attending? We all need to get together and meet one another for a drink or something.
