Good Morning,

There is an Old Engine Show at Ashland Vocational School, on Route 60, South of Ashland Ohio, Friday thru Sunday.

I will be displaying about 45 saws. We will be cutting with a Von Ruden PTO saw, Mall 7, Mall 11, Disston DA-211, Mac 1225-A (24" Bow), Stihl 090, Homelite 1947 electric saw (powered by Homelite generator), Homelite 750 Hot Saw. Probably a few more that I forgot.

If you have time come on over. Would sure like to meet a few people from AS.

Later, Larry

Dangit, why must I always be broke down and stuck so far from the good shows? thats it I'm movin to OH! LOL
Larry, its nice to see you posting.

echo saws

Hey Bob,

I will bring my CS1001 and an Echo Twin if you are going to be there. Hope you can make it.

So many saws, so little time. Larry

Update

Hey guys a little info to add.

We will have a Maple log 30", on large end, by 12' long to run the two-man saws in and several smaller logs for the other saws.

I have added a few of my other saws, Stihl Lightning, a CST 610 Echo and Mac 110 (with Stihl 59" bar), to the list of saws we will be cutting with.

Now we're having fun, and why wouldn't we. Larry :blob2:

Larry, does that little 110 actually cut with tha 59" bar on it? I saw a picture of that once and thought it was just for a joke of some sort.

Mac 110 with 59" Stihl bar

We actually cut with this set up. Will be demonstrating this weekend at Ashland. Can't push too hard, but it does cut. I am using 3/8 Chisel. Most people look and say that the motor will not pull the chain. They walk away smiling after the cut. Lots of fun.

My wife says this is a Two-Woman saw. Later, Larry

Well that would a knee slapper,so to speak.Someone on this site had a picture of an 090 with a little bitty bar, about 12 inch. The other end of the spectrum I guess. :)

I didnt know for sure, which is why I didnt say it wouldnt work, cause I was fairly sure it would, and you proved me right, it will work. could someone get me some video of that little thing in action and email it to me?

I know those little 110s are peppy saws, which is why I like em, fairly light and quite powerful for their size, I ran one once with a 14" bar BURIED in hardwood, it didnt drop below about 8000 RPM the whole time I had it in that cut. I'm sold on em, so I have no complaints about em.

Larry, while I'm thinking about it, could you please send me the owners/operators manual for a Mall 7G? Thanks.

Here's a couple of pics of Larry in action from the Ashland show today. Lot's of neet stuff to look at there. I will post the rest of the pics later at my Echo group site. If anyone wants them emailed just let me know....Bob

I was at that show a few years ago, when the Gravely tractor club held their annual sale/swap meet there. I had a blast watching the old machinery in action and checking out the older, full size tractors. A lot of nice people there - visitors and vendors alike.
