Greatings got a line on a very old asplund drum chipper v-8 power that runs good?... needs drum bearing which are not a big deal unless they are special to asplund?

The only other problem other then a severe lack of paint is it don't have a title. Which is easy to solve with a filing for lost or missing title, as long as its not stolen...

What concerns me is that asplund is not really known is these parts for selling off their equipment, never seen a truck for sale and this is the only used chipper I've ever seen from them. So whats the likely hood of this unit having been stolen form asplund?

The second question is how much of a pain are the blades and parts to get for these machines.

You can call Asplundh and run the serial number past them to see if it has been stolen before you purchase it. Parts can be very hard to find if it's a chuck and duck/whisper chipper. I more than likely carry the knives for this chipper as long as I'm provided with the knife dimensions.

Hope this helps!
