Atlas Powered Rope Ascender

Any of you guys heard of or seen one of these? It sounds like they are in use by the military but are not yet commercially available. Looks like it would make a 100 foot loblolly just too easy for even an old geezer like me.

Probably a small fortune now, but watch, in a few years everyone will have one.

I don't know if getting hoisted by a machine through a tree is such a good idea. Could end up more of a passenger in a bad fix. Machines and technology are great and have a place, but I don't feel like they should be everywhere they want to try and cram them.

What's next the robotic nose picker? Works great 99 times until it malfunctions and runs its finger through to the back of your skull.

Just make sure you don't get the diesel motor on your nose picker, it will pop your eye out of its socket.
