trying to source a bar and chain.. .404 for a 111s.. hoping to have it over 30inches. heard some good ideas.

looking to see what "everyone" thinks.

do i have to start milling other bars to fit?

I believe that any "large Husky" bar will fit, if you grind the slot in the bar about .5 mm wider - some may even fit as issued.....:chainsaw:

so just to clarify... am i grinding the track wider or longer?

i was hopeful just for variety sake that i would get to use those 9.5mm bars. i mean whats .5mm anyways??!!

i know metric-ally

Not the "track", but the slot for the bar bolts.....:biggrinbounce2:

went the husky mount route

had success locally with getting a 42 inch cut oregon bar for large husky. just filed it and it works great. holes for oil and tensioner are perfect fit. a lot less work than expected. will be trying it out with .404 square skip chain and then maybe look at some other options. hope to post some of the jobs.. or should i say.. odd wood scores i'll be getting over the summer.
