I've been tying to the pulley with one end of the hitch cord since I saw Jims pics of his set up compared to Big John's, think John was also using that when we did a day off climb together.
Of course I don't do heavy production work like many of you guys/gals? so my experience of defered strength ratios isn't as critical. Oooops, should never have said that, the thought was I do not worry about something big hanging my climbing line and me and the line having to take the shock. The oops, is that when ever I say something definitive for my self here it happens contrary in a day or two.
I have to drop a large brach on an old oak tomorrow, it is 26-30 at the leader. As big as some trees. Dah, I've give it thought and even though I'll be working alone don't see any problem. Bless me, bless me.
Could not help the extra stuff connected to the hitch. Sorry, "Working Alone and Other Confussion", was a serise of books I once published. Gee, still doing it.
