Bad News...

So here I am in Germany looking for a job. I have been speaking with my old employer here and last week told him to expect me today.

So, I finish my work over the weekend and through Tuesday, catch the plane and here I am. Today I went in to go meet him only to show up at the office and find out that he died on Monday. Heart attack, 52. The family and lawyers were in the office. My old foreman said he is not sure if they will stay open much longer.

A really sad and really odd situation. I am going out with the crew on Monday to work.

Odd to walk in and say "I am here to meet Mr. Höll" and they say "Well he is dead." One of those yank the carpet out from underneath you situations. What do you say to that? What can you say?

Still headed to the convention on Tuesday. Better be ready to network if I am to get a job....

Life is not understandable at times. Good luck on the job search, but in the meantime enjoy your time in Germany, I have not been over since 2000. Maybe this fall.

I think Greg Good is over there try to hook up with him He may have some contacts. Bad news sucks.

Yup, Greg Good was there. He seems to know everyone, everywhere. Not a person to play the droppin' names game with. He even knew many of the major arbos in Austin.
