stock dawgs

Does your's have the stock double dawgs, gold in color? If not I could see why, but if it does what is wrong with them? They seem to be as long as the one's I got from bailey's for my 440 and 460. But yes bailey's dawgs are very good.

stock dogs

the 066 has the factory dogs, it doesn't seem as tho the bottom dog goes down far enought to bite into the log (im used to 395 husky's) ive never seen the baileys dogs and didn't know how they would compare to the stock ones
thanks

big dawgs

They really sit down, in fact the saws sit sideways while on the ground. They are called "oversized dawgs" for a good reason. Well worth the price. You won't be dissapointed for the price, very heavy duty. :hmm3grin2orange:

dogs

i guess i have just been running 395's for too long, but i am gonna change the dogs on my 066, either put 088 dogs or try some from bailey's, ive never seen the bailey's dogs for a stihl and wasn't sure what they looked like. anybody got any pics? thanks

I'm a little hesitant to post these, not sure if I bought the dogs from Bailey's or Madsen's. Anyway, the 460 has a full wrap aftermarket with the aftermarket dogs. The 066 has the gold dog's.

thanks

thanks for the pics, im gonna have to get me a set of those, and how about them extended (taller) clutch covers!!, got any idea what the part # would be for one of those? thanks everybody

OK,I've only been in the business twenty years....I thought I had seen all and done all,but that was a new one on me,so I must ask....What is up with the taller clutch cover?...The only thing I could think of is maybe for when you're using a very long bar,it would let more saw chips through without clogging the saw....Is that what they are for??

clutch cover

im not sure about the science behind them, but i had a taller clutch cover on an 084 and i think it did alot better job of handling the saw dust. especially keeping it off of me, that is y im wanting to get one for my 066

Ever cut clutch-up in a sustained cut with a short cover? You'll get a face full of chips. The lowered cover helps with that.

I do it all the time,so that's what I figured the bigger clutch cover was for....I guess I'm now gonna have to get a couple for my bigger saws..I rarely have this happen with a husky...It seems to happen more with Stihl's

Here's two versions of the five-pointers. I got mine from my local shop. But they're similar if not the same. A vast improvement over the stock dogs, which are in the shot as well.
