OK you collectors, where can you find Bar & Chains for the old Homelites & McCullochs.

Also if nothing new is available...what Bar & Chain comb's can be modified to work?

IE I have a Bar & Chain combo for a Stihl 66 that works with my home engineered spacers for my McCulloch 797. (Took a couple of nuts & filed the flats to fit inside the bar slot.

In particular WHAT can I buy new that can be modified for my 1020 Homelite.
(Oregon pattern F014..which seem to be unavailable) Any Husky or Stihl bats close enough to modify with a file & drill??

Weime, that uses the same pattern as the 1130G, I talked to GrandeDog, and I have a part number for a new harvester bar that will fit that pattern, 36". Will order the bar for mine this next week. Let me know, and I will send you the part number for the bar, but Baileys should be able to get you a smaller bar if you need.

Chain Bar Repairing will make any bar, any length, any pattern. A bar might cost $150 from scratch or get a Oregon bar longet than you need and have them shorten and remake the tail section. I'll post a link because this is an answer to a direct question.

D196 fills the F014 void but isn't available in long bar lengths. FWIW I have a .063 gauge 30 inch Homelite hardnose bar that has never been used if someone NEEDS it-It is sitting here as a spare for my Alpina SP120 or in case I ever decide to run a comparison of 3/8ths and .404 chain.
