recently i bartered:
1) a $400 trim job for 2 (8 hour) bass fishing trips by a professional fishing guide.
2) 1 palm tree removal for welding a ladder and pole saw rack for my trailer.

i swear i could have traded sex from 2 of the divorced lady customers i serviced in the past few months. they kept telling me how much of a REAL man i was (sweating w/ chainsaw and heavy lifting), they kept saying that their husbands were basically whimps and never did hard work. i could have easily traded it out, but i'm married so i took the money instead. :(

you?

Well what did they look like:cheers: .....

You are a funny guy Treeminator. Women would have to give me something for sex, I don't pay for it. Any women I know would be like "look at that retard, climbing with that bunky saw" Oh, sorry, forgot, supposed to be nice, don't want to offend Max now. Further more tard, if the women were divorced, they wouldn't have husbands.

That's underbidding..... I would have just picked the cutest and traded outright..... then charged the ugliest one double price.<BR>
O'h by the way my wife would have insisted on joining in..... He'y it's Saturday night let's party!!

I worked alone alot in the past, have had a few offers from female clients. One of them was quite pretty and I was single at the time, it distracted me so much thinking about it that I gave my finger a silky kiss while working. She freaked at the sight of blood in a big way, so calmed the mood a little.

We did a job for these 3 neighbours, while we were working the 3 women were up on the deck drinking G and T's and after a few hours they were a little rowdy. Offering extra money if we took our shirts off etc. Harmless stuff but if it was a reversed situation and we were female I think it would have counted as harrasment.

I got a full set of dive gear (2 tanks, reg, bcd, mask, fins, dive comp, gloves, knife, torches, bag, catch bag etc) for nothing from a single female client. She was heading to saudi and had 3 sets. Im not charging her for the work I will do to her place while shes gone though!

In Florida I believe that.

Took out 2 oaks for $350. Got a free dump truck.

Got another one lined up, to drop 40 pines for another dump truck

Happy Mother's Day!

Seems not to be the best thread to mention it, but I barter fruit tree pruning for my Mom's steak and salmon dinner, and the privilege of just being her son.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!

I may be a sap, but nine months of me inside anyone had to be a damn tough go.

Good work, Mom!

I'm gonna give my Mom a call today, just so she knows I haven't fallen on my head so hard that I've forgotten who took care of me before I could take care of myself.

A good friend of mine has traded everything it seems. Ok, well not sex. But he has traded tree work for logsplitters, cars, boats, skidsteer rental time, grading work at his house, hay, hunting land, mechanic work and who knows what else before I meet him. And of course he has traded for money too ;)

I cut down a bunch of birch trees, climbed em, yarded em over with my truck, had to hang blocks with a choker to make it happen. My gf helped, mostly by watching that the ropes were running free and driving my truck. In return I got a 350 I had put in my truck, new clutch and front axle u-joints. Trading is good, people are usually impressed with guys climbing, but a treeeguy is worth the same as a good mechanic, imo.

I traded, or should say recieved without my knowledge, a pot bellied pig once for removing some dead limbs for a newly wed couple. Got home and the pig was in one of my barn stalls!

I also traded 6 hrs of trimming for a ford 640 tractor. The same fellow i traded a few months later another 4 hrs of removal no cleanup for a 13" X 40" engine lathe.

Dental work, log splitter, hunting lease.

I tried trading for that but couldnt find a dentist who needed enough work done to cover 4 wisdom teeth removals.

wife and I had talked about getting a hot tub for years but prices were too high.

Went to look at a neighbor's dead oak over his barn. Inside the barn was...a nice 2-seat hot tub. I jokingly wrote him a bid to trade putting the oak on the ground in exchange for the tub. He called and said sure, everything works on it, go ahead.

Soon as the ground dries out I'm flopping that sucker. It may take 2 hours. I can feel that hydrotherapy on my aching shoulders now...

trailer, wood stove, canoe, boat, rent, gas, crossbow, river access, many more I can't remember.
