WOW! yeah that can happen If they short, or the protective layer around the polymer is punctured. They sell fire safe bags for RC polymer batteries to use when you charge them. I would never store any of those newfangled jumper packs in my garage or vehicle, many of them don't even work.

I won't use them, most don't know just how unstable they actually are. But these help I you must have one for some reason.[emoji111] https://www.amazon.com/COLCASE-Fireproof-Explosionproof-Charging-198x150x135mm/dp/B0719H46PF

Smartphone batteries run the same risk, but they're generally a much higher quality, and much lower power. They also degrade very quickly when not in use and left at full charge these things are a waste of money IMHO.

I've had it for 3 years . Never a problem . The battery lites on fire when oxygen is introduced .
Correct. But this can occur when the covering gets filled with gases and ruptures. And sometimes the cases are not correctly manufactured, this is what occurred with the Samsung phones that were exploding. 3 years is about the maximum life expectancy of a lipo battery.

It looks like it has a small problem as of now lol.[emoji111]
