Thats right down the street from me... feel bad for the guy.

####ing hate that #### . I mean man saw thieves prolly some damn crack heads who will sell them for 100 a piece with no idea there worth

They do it to the Lewis trucks on the south shore all the time. They keep them in a field basically. Endless supply of 372XP's lol....

Sorry to hear that I'll keep an ear out, there's no bigger dirt bag than the ones that prevent others from making a living by stealing there stuff

That Sucks, Wish to get my hands on people like that. I had same thing happen 3 years ago in Torrington, CT. The best I can offer is to let your Stihl dealer guys know, they put the serial numbers in a bank on the computers across the states, I think and if one ever shows up for service they grab the guy! To this day I still have not had mine show up. Did you have Insurance for the equipment? sometimes it can be covered under your insurance for the truck. Talk with your agent and well, sometimes a squeeky wheel gets oiled! Good luck

Its the new thing now days. Its easier for people to take things that other people work hard for, not them. My condolences man.

Torrington, eh? I never worry too much over there. More and more junkies in that town in recent years though. I get closer to the Waterbury area (which is rare) and the boxes are definitely getting locked if we're in the back yard.

Same thing happened to us last spring. I showed up to work to find our trucks saw doors all bent open and all our saws, tools and even our gas can gone. Cops showed up dusted the truck for fingerprints but nothing ever showed up. I checked Craigslist for them for a while but never found anything.

Tree trimmer christmas came early that day, went out bought all brand new saws and the insurance company covered them. Only thing that sucks other than the feeling of being stolen from is they took all our 200ts and the 201s were all the shop was selling. I never had the opportunity to compare the two :(. (Side note, I love the 201s!!)

OP file it on your insurance, getting ripped off is a sad reality that comes with the business.

Over the last few years it has just been a concious habit to lock doors if im up or in back or just for peace of mind. I just changed my way of thinking. Often i will ask my groundman did ya lock the door again? So the crew is becoming more aware of the reality that people in desperate times will take your stuff and just dont care.
Having a balloon insurance policy helps too.
