Bearing orientation?

First time betting into a bottom end. I got myself some shiny new bearings and got them installed without a problem. I now have this sinking feeling that the bearings are not oriented correctly in the case.

You are fine. It’s the ball separator (plastic I see) has you puzzled. Makes it look “wrong”.
 
Yes, I'm am a little confused. Most of the examples I have seen are steel caged bearings so they look a little different. I have the writing on the bearing facing out. I hope that's correct.
When folks have a choice they choose steel caged bearings, plastic versions have been known to come apart over time after hard use.
