Yeah front end was a little light, did some steering with the brakes on that one.
From personal experience it's pretty tough running a jib boom on a tractor, broken axles ect. You may look into building a winch arch set up for the 3 point.

I think I am going to retire the log arch. Skidding with the jib pole on the tractor is much quicker and easier. Ash and silver maple. Next thing to make is some skidding tongs.

Only way to fly!Been doing it that way for years:puts weight on the rear wheels for better traction,keeps the log cleaner, eliminates the possibility of the log grabbing a stump or rock and causing the tractor to go over backwards. The only thing better is a Farmi or Walinstein winch.You can pull 5 logs at once!
