I'm repainting my woodchuck wc 17. It was orange. For looks and resale, which color is best? I'm looking at john deere green, but also yellow, or orange, which is best in your opinion. Thanks.

I'm gonna guess the yellow is probably the best for resale.. seems to be the most common. Just make sure you get new decals, otherwise it will look hack.

yeah, I was thinking maybe yellow, or white too, might be tops.

Wood Chuck is out of business, so I'm not sure on a decal kit. Maybe Altec would have some old decal kits warehoused. I was going to do some reflective tape and paint right up to the decals I can salvage.

I'm going to do a top notch job on the paint without going overboard.

I know blue wasn't on your list but I think my stump grinder is very sharp looking. I guess I like it because it's NOT yellow like every other piece of machinery.

Hey scott, I've seen your stumper before and the blue is cool.

As much as I wanted green, I've decided to go with safety yellow.

I got some Majic yellow the other day and it dried to the touch, but wrinkled up and is like skin. it will move around alot under the surface.

My primer is fine, but the two coats of yellow come right off with a nail after a week of drying.

Majic has soybean oil in it and I wander to what extent that has something to do with it. So I went with ACE hardware brand RUST STOP. The farm store didn't want to take that other crap back, but I made my point.

So it's yellow with some black here and there.

The prep has been a royal pain.:dizzy:
