OK THEN.

Of the two, the Husky will have better air cleaner performance and less vibration. The Stihl will last longer, have higher used resale, and be easier to get parts and service.
However you will increase vibration and use a lot of gas.

Neb has a 35cc topping saw
are all 35cc saws used for topping, sucker?
Did anyone mention husky 351?
As a real professional arborist, I feel topping saw is alright to use, here's why. On trims, I don't use a chainsaw. the only time I use a chainsaw is when "topping" out a tree to remove it.Originally posted by dbeck

I just make them up, why?Originally posted by Rich Hoffman
Mike, where in the world do you get your facts?
What if both saws are maintained exactly the same?Originally posted by Rich Hoffman
IMO how long a saw will last is very dependent on how well it is maintained.
Ok, so you and rb contend that you can take more air and gas mixture, at a richer concentration, compress it into a smaller area, ignite it to make a bigger explosion in the cylinder, expell the gas through a bigger hole making a louder noise, and all while using no more gasoline and having no more vibration. That's some feat!Originally posted by Rich Hoffman
As for the "more vibration"..........I don't even know how to respond to that one. Out of the modded saws that I have, none have anymore vibration than it did when it was stock.

They don't make a 351 anymore.

Rich,
He sucked you in. Since when is 'vibration' even a consideration with modern chainsaws? He's yanking your chain and you are dancing like Pinocchio.
