Bug thanks to Rope for coming up this weekend and handling a nasty one. We finished taking down a very big oak over some power lines. Nothing got hurt and everyone walked away safe. I'll post some pictures later. He has some to post also. Again thanks for the help.

That was an ugly one. Not fun when they are all over the lines like that. Looks like you had the right man for the job. :monkey:
 
No on the bucket access but i was able to get my Genie close with a 4-wheeler. He used that some. I actually think he wouldn't mind having one.

What was the DBH on that thing? Looks like it's 30" or better up to the point where rope is in the tree. Any idea what the stump measured?
 
The main stem is still standing. I'm going to piece it down.The main danger is gone thanks to rope. Guess on DBH is in the 40's. My ms880 will get a workout and so will I. That think is heavy.

call in murph for a special cut

you guys did good but you forgot one thing.....

you could called in Murph and he coulda just spiked up 10 feet and put a lanyard around and made one of them special secret cuts and ......presto....you woulda just had a little ground work to do.:)
