Biggest Hardwood tree

Brian,
That's big! You can especially tell it when it's in the dump truck. Curious what happened to the main trunk section, was it used for anything in particular?

big elm

My grandparents had an elm about 15 ft infront of there house that would take five kids holding hands together to encirle the tree, or three 6' adult males. We used to play wood tag on that tree, until lightning hit it. It crushed there sidewalk and the sidewalk across the street. They were very lucky it didn't go towards the house. I only wish it happened now so I could have put good use to the wood. The trunk is still there today and was gutted a little and used as a flower potter. Sorry no pics
