This might not be the right forum to post this in, but I can't find a more appropriate place so here goes....
I'm looking to buy a new pair of boots. Having checked out Schoen, Red Wing, John Bull, Lastrite, (the list goes on) the ones I'm really interested in are the Meindl MFB1 boots which boast a "Posture Correct Walking System" plus numerous other features. They are a significantly expensive boot and I was wondering if anybody here is wearing them and what do you think of them; or if not, what are your preferences?

I like my Carhartt loggers boots. Very comfortable and well made.

As a disclaimer I should say I'm not actually a logger. However I do wear loggers clothes. I like my Carhartt logging jeans and suspenders as well. Very durable and the deep pockets are very handy. I'm also partial to the half zip stripe shirts. Look nice and are long wearing.

Is looking like a logger while not acually employed in that noble profession a fashion faux pas?

I didn't know Carhartt came in purple and lemon yellow!!!:hmm3grin2orange:

Not if you live here. I do get some looks when I wander into the store after work though. I ditch the suspenders but then the Carhartts require frequent pulling up. Ooops, I've changed the topic.

Buy boots that are comfy. And will hold up so you aren't turning ankles and saying bad words when trying to keep up with the youngsters while traversing a 90% slope. Then give up trying to keep up with the youngsters.
