Just for comparison, and because I don't have any place better to post them, a couple of other saws in the same wood. Unfortunately the chains are not the same, but they are all sharp.
The first is another squish modded 42cc Poulan, but without the case fillers and with a later cylinder that has a larger combustion chamber. It has a carb the same size as the WT657 (34/64"). The chain is TriLink lo pro. It's about 6sec slower in the cut than the Poulan up thread:
The second is my ported 40cc McCulloch MS4018, which is based on the GZ4000 design. The chain is Oregon 91PX lo pro. It's about 4sec slower than the Poulan up thread:
