if you are really serious, i think thats cool. if nobody else will let you cut their saw in half, you can cut mine in half. that would be worth the saw to get on video!

OK, as an added incentive (and to makeup for starting with rules)

I hereby offer to cut the losing Wildthing in half with my SXL-925 and forward the video to someone to post for everyones viewing pleasure!

Deal?

Been thinking about this for some time now.

Both my Brother and I have digicams and hes just crazy enough to stand around while I attempt something of this sort.

Could be interesting.:jawdrop:

Some cheap ones on eBay right now...looks like it would be easy to scoop them up for under $50 shipped.

Anybody want to donate one? My coworker (I got him into modding his step below the wild thing, wood shark or something) Got a good wild thing that the plastic was busted up. he made his wood shark a wild shark. lol

Anyways he is wanting to find another one to put the motor on his R/C car. He has a good topend, but needs a good crank. If anyone has anything they want to get rid of, he'll pay shipping. Not much else, as it is a budget build. Ebay usually doesn't fit into the Budget part of build

you can do a full woods port job, that does include the ported muffler. my poulan will be getting everything that i list on my website, just like i was porting a stihl or anything else.

This is great. Try to take one of the most joked about saws and actually try to do something to it. If you're going to take video entries how will you keep everything on a level field as far as chain and cutting wood? Just a suggestion but how about everybody has to run stock chain angles (level playing field but allows for sharpening) and the wood maybe something like four 2x4's straped together (pretty much universal density in a 2x4 east coast to west coast) Just thinking outloud here..............

HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM............................ May have to see if dad has one of them left, always wanted to port a saw, now I don't have to worry about screwing up a good one :ices_rofl:

i think the main part of the challenge will be at placerville. the video aspect just lets the people that can not make it out make a try at it. last year placerville was a great race with plenty of entries to keep things going. my mild woods port 288 didnt have a chance against the 6 cube race saws. this year i have the woods port wildthing, stihl 026 race port muffler/pipe, stihl 036 woods port muffler and a husky 181 race muffler/pipe going. may practice my axe throwing also.

i wont be making that cut-out mistake this time Rotax! i have been practicing and getting better.

Thats not realy what I was refering to, more in line of we use wild things for the saw throwing contest, kinda like the weedwacker javelin throw, but different. either way it will be good to race against you again. You going to Astoria ? I am going to try and make Astoria and Cottage Grove but don't think I have enough travel time to do it as the Predator always has to cut at the end of the show, so its hard to duck out early.

Rotax Robert :chainsaw:

this year i wont have the time or the saws ready for anything else other than placerville. next year i will be going to alot more shows. every season just keeps on getting better!

I don't know if anyone did get the wild thing wild, but back in time this gave my one idea after my old Husky 36 starting to give me trouble, and I was also given one 36 that have given up. Took them apart, cleaned them up, look over them too see what condition they where in.
