Where do you go camping?
I spent a lot of time at Red Wing lakes in Port Republic, and will go back soon. Wading pines is great too, it's close to Batsto.
I love Shanondoa, Skyline drive, Smokey Mountains and everything in between. Smith Mountain Lake is pretty cool, and when I was there, they had these cute ranger chicks that like to walk around the park after their shifts.
Also, one of the coolest places I ever camped at was in Tennasee. I forget the name of the place but it was in Polk County, which is south east Tenn. I only spent one night there after a run in with the law, but I want to go back badly. The cops actually clued me in to the place. Kinda wanna go back there and visit them too, and tell them about all the stuff they didn't (but should have) gotten me for.
I have actually camped in every state on the east coast and into Canada, several southern states too. Alabama was nice. I stayed at pine bluffs for a few days, and they sent me christmas cards for a while.
Anyways, I like to camp out and only do primative style. I can't stand when people call sleepig in a camper or rv camping. That's a hotel in the woods.
Getting back to NJ, I think I preferr Red Wings Lake, but I know ther are lots of cool spots. I went to one in Sea Isle 2 years ago, that had a small water park. It was great for the little ones, plus they had a nice lake for boating and fishing.
Let me know if you know of any cool spots in south east PA. I have only been to marsh creek. I know there are tons of places, up north. I spent a few Thanksgivings up in Tioga and that area, also Potter county.
Sorry for the long, rambling off topic post, but that's my style these days.

Well, she recommends that I set patchouli perfumed candles around the base of the tree to help foster an aura of life spirit energy and then to start an email chain letter with prayers for the tree's recovery.

If that fails (and why would it?) she suggests total nuclear annihilation. Says that the temperature/radiation combination will most likely kill most of the fungus, and all other elms, within a 10 mile radius, on contact.

aura of life aand spirit energy now that there is funny .....dont keer where ya come from:laugh:

We camp a lot in the state forests. You are supposed to get a permit for car camping, we never have and have not been bothered, yet. There's some very nice spots in lakawana Forest. Not designated spots i9n a campground, just pulling off the road and driving into the woods on dirt roads or fire breaks a bit. We drive in 50 yards off the road on a dirt road that loops trough an area that was logged maybe 20 years ago and camp on the edge of a meadow, filled with blueberry bushes. Pitch the tent, set up camp and spend a few days there hiking and eating blueberry pancakes. My wife and I used to do 2 week canoe trips in Canada and the Adirondaks before our daughter was born. I'm thinking that it's time to get back to it. She's 8 and can carry her own weight now....
