Hi Dan

Lately I`ve seen Makita DCS 540 & 520`s for nice prices. I was wondering if these saws would be good candidates for hot rodding.

Reliabilty is important to me as this saw would be run daily. Like everyone else I`m looking for more power without the extra weight of a big saw. I currently use 026`s and an 066 but am thinking of trying something new.

BTW your server is rejecting my email

Thanks
Glenn

Both of those saws will really come to life, once they are ported.
The design of that saw is virtually bullet proof. They built it close to 20 years, the bugs are all worked out of these.
Make sure you send the email to [email protected]
not [email protected]
If that doesn't work, send me a PM.

Fish, are you trying to agitate again? Dennis Cahoon has userped your position and is the forums latest trouble maker, so you will have to vie for that position again.
The trick is to try and tick off Dennis, he really grooves on dissention amongst the ranks. How's things in Penciltuckey?
John

I saved a 20" diameter piece of Shag Bark Hickory for John to test his good race chains on. I will tell him that its our Yellow Poplar, he wont know the difference.

Dan,
Whats the matter can't find any of that peanut butter wood that make them saw's look so fast ?

Lambert!
Don't start no crap, and there won't be no crap!

Calhoon? He ain't got nothing on me! I know how to piss
everyone off for keeps. This young upstart needs to sit back and watch all of the forums, as I do not waste all of my time here.

My checks from Arboristsite are still coming in weekly, so my job is still intact, but my cost of living raise is a little overdue......

Hi Fish, it is very hard to draw Dennis out, he is a very pompous, conceited and arogant individual. In order to even get the time of day from him, you must make promises of Remington bars with roller noses.
John

John, I don't need no stinking roller noses from you or fish. Dennis said he was giving me all of his. All my logger friends are quick to help with any of my needs. And I know if I want to stay on the good side of this forum I must agree with everything said by Art Martin. I just can't help being so hardheaded sometimes. In fact my wife likes me hardheaded. No what I'm saying. Your bad news friend Dennis.

John, Your his spitting image. And what a suprise, cause I thought he was just your stepdad! But what about Meat Loaf?

Mark,
Are you nuts!!!????
You have just called a total redneck jihad upon yourself!!!
You have been off base before, but you are deadmeat now, you
Yankee scumbag.
Right now there is a "convoy" of truckers and rednecks from
West Virginia on their way to kick your skanky ass.
Nothing personal, but you start dabbling in religous issues,
and these redneck worshippers are going to rub your butt out.
Or if you are lucky, they will just rub your butt.

Formula One's got it all over Stock Car racing anyway. You should see all the toothless wonders in their lawn chairs lining the roads leading to NHIS up here whenever they have one of their Winston Cup races. Not to take anything away from Dale, but he's probably in a better place now that he doesn't have to run away in fear from the hag fans that chased him.
