Hey Everyone!

Got a call about these 3 trees today. Customer is wanting them removed. They are all pretty close together and have grown way out over 2/3's of customers house. the tallest is prolly 55-60ft. They are all gonna have to be pieced out which will definitely be a slow process.

I am attaching 3 pictures of them. If you guys could check them out real quick and give me a competitive "ballpark" bid on complete removal including stumps, and all cleanup. I realize pics are not the very best but it should give a pretty good idea.

thanks!

Are there wires off to the side of the house that aren't in the pics. ? Two of the trees look like they can just be topped and dropped away from the house, save alot of time. I'd ball park it at around $2500 to do a complete job.

no...fortunately incoming power is on the other end of the house. your prolly right that 2 can be topped and felled away. 1 for sure but after cutting alot back on the other, you could prolly drop it too.

thanks for the responses guys. keep them coming.

I don't need to be posting in these what would you charge threads because I am always off from the crowd it seems on price. That being said, seriously and I mean seriously, if the time ever comes that I can't get $3,500.00 for that job and get it easy that will be the time I quit this business. There is other things out there to do.

Trees rigged down, zero breakage, stumps ground and site cleaned is 2 days cruising work. So charge for 2 days at your usual rate. Discounting to leave wood is ok so long as you don't have to cut it to length. :chainsaw:

thanks for your comment but i am not sure i understand exactly what you are saying. could you clarify for me please?

thanks everyone else for you input!

$2800, wood gone, topsoiled and seeded.

One day cutting and chipping, another part day messing with stumps, cleanup and wood.

Of course I'd have to see them in person to really say

He is saying bid higher and he is right. If everyone bid higher people would have to pay fair, I really try to do my part but survival seems uncertain in these current economics here. His market and cost of living differs in ours but really that job is easily worth the 3500 he said anywhere it just won't bring it due to underbidding that go's on.

Just died been dead except little jobs here and there that barely keep the lights on here. I think I need a NY salesman lmao:cheers:
Shamwow

Shamwow: most annoying ad to ever wake up on the couch with a hangover to. "You'll be saying wow every time". lol

I hear ya on the NY salesman. I need one too. The type with the breath mints, clipboard and colone...the type that'll talk em into pruning every invasive rat tree on the entire property.

Yup for three time the usual lmfao. I have contemplated the thought of using a motivated door to door vixen with a gold tongue to sell on a commission, maybe a stripper lol.

Then what are you doing wasting your time on here posting for? Different parts of the country are going to have different rates/prices. I'd love to get $3500 for that job, but realistically, in this economy, and in my area that would never happen. Where you live, maybe that would be the average.

I'd be in the $2800 range also to do trees and stumps with full cleanup. that price kind of depends on whether the tree over the garage can be rigged off of the middle tree. If so, it's not too bad of a job so long as you know how to rig.

If the tree over the garage can't be rigged off of the middle tree, the job gets to be a little more time and $ but still not too bad. About 10 hours to get everything on the ground and brush chipped. Three more hours to load and dispose of trunk wood. A couple more hours to grind and clean up stumps. Add raking and it's a 16 hour job with 2 guys, a 12 hour job with 3.

Be about 12 hours for me and the wife looks like I could get bucket and grapple truck in, two loads about 4 hrs loading and dumping.
