do you guys like carbide chains or not are the worth the extra 100$ a chain and what is the best combination. I am getting very tired of sharpening

What are you cutting, to make the chain go dull so quickly? If you run it in the dirt constantly, even carbide will not last long.

no well usually just drop big poplar a little birch some spruce. notihing very hard on the chain as far as i am concerned. once the tree is down we block it up so we don't hit the ground

If you are not hitting dirt while blocking up the wood another possible problem could be your sharpening teqnique. Improper sharpening (wrong angle) will make a chain dull quickly. What type chain are you using? Semi will cut a little slower, but keep an edge longer, while chisel will cut quickly but dull out faster.

well i only have used a rapid super stihl chain. but i have just ordered a rapid super klassik chain. i was actually wondering what is the difference between the 2 chains can anyone help me
