This morning I showed up at the job site where I was supposed to do some fire mitigation work on a bunch of over grown scrub oak, and when I pulled up I noticed the neighbors trees were literly covered with toilet paper. Im not talking about a few rolls of TP, the Ponderosa Pines were covered in white!!! I promptly went over to the house and gave my card to the home owner and told her I would be glad to help clean up the mess. She said that she thought she could handle it her self but would get back with me on the offer. Around lunch time I saw her trying to get the TP out of the trees with a broom and then a rake. I walked over with my pole saw and let her use that for the rest of the afternoon. By the time I was done with my scrub job at about 1600hrs she asked me if I could climb and get what she couldnt get with the pole saw. I was climbing and getting it all down while my groundie was using a throw ball to get out the rest. When we finally left this evening she said that she counted 104 toilet paper tubes in the yard. I think that beats my record of when I was a teen ager of about 25. Anyone else out there ever have to pull some wierd stuff out of trees in the past???

I would say that the tramp was in the tree, it happens when wind gets up good. But undamaged? Wow, most of the time they bend badly.

An easy way to clear TP is to take the hose and soak it. Once it's wet it dissolves.

TP'ing houses is an adolescent way of "getting" a friend. It works well too because most times its Mom and Dad who do the cleanup. TPing is much nicer that throwing raw eggs at the house or a brick through the window.

I too have pulled TP out of trees. Not necesarily asked to, just it was there and so was I. The funny part was the TP'ers did a poor job. Most of the roles were still whole.

The most unusual thing Ive pulled out was a ball. It was at the day care workers house that my kids go to. It was when we were picking up the kids so the others there saw me in the tree and were typical kids: "wow", "cool","can i climb up there too?", etc. What the sitter thought was amazing was i climbed up in dress clothes (came from funeral).

When I was a teenager TPing the girls house that you had a crush on was kinda a way of telling her how much you thought of her. (Yeah it must be an American thing.) We used to use my buddies pickup that hay racks on it and use a "water winger" sling shot, kinda like a "Big Shot" to launch a roll of TP up over the trees that we stratigically lined up, and as the toilet paper would fly it would start to unroll. However I gotta give it to the youth of the day. My record couldnt have been more than 24 rolls that we swiped out of the janitors broom closet at school.

Come on!!! I know you crazy Britts have some corny stuff you used to do as teenagers. I met a guy from Ireland and he told me once that they used to get piss drunk in the wee hours of the night and pee on the Blarney stone.
