Is there a specific amt. of tension the engagement belt should have on our 2500-4 stumper? It seems a little looser than it used to be...

The owners manual should have a section on how to adjust the tension, and how to check it. Usually they have a measurement for the proper amount of deflection in the belt, when a certain amount of pressure is applied at the midpoint between pulleys.

I engage the belt and push down midway between the pulleys, using three fingers. 3/8" deflection for a new belt and 1/2" for after belt has been broken in.
