Cedar apple rust galls on Pin Oak???

Has anyone ever encountered Cedar apple rust gall on Pin Oak, yesterday I'm almost certain i did, these were not like reg. twig galls, look identical to the cedar apple variety, the same branch was also showing vein leaf gall. There were some cedar in the near vicinity also. Any one heard of this occurring?

Many rust diseases have similar signs; Gymnosporangium in cedar looks much like Cronartium in oak.

Diseases are fascinating.
