Cert. Arborist test

I wil be taken the test and was wondering about the ID part. Am I required to know both common name and latin name?? Thanks.

So you don't know the requirements of passing the test?
Jeff , It is multiple choice, you should be fine.

But for your career....you should know both...including ALL the common names a species may have.

I sweated the ID part too, but it wasn't that difficult. They were all common tree to our area. There was one photo of a oak and they ask if it was a Quercus Virginiana or Agrifolia and something else. I'm still not sure of the difference between them. Thats the only one I missed.

They have 10 different limbs on tables, beside each limb is a paper with 4 possible right answers. Match it to the right one! Good luck!
