I posted a while back on advice for a new saw and got a ton of replies...thanks for all the input. Someone is selling a very lightly used 340 16" w/o the chain for $200, seems like a great deal even with no chain. For that price I think i'm going to get it even though I want the 350, but for the work I will need it for the power should be sufficient. With all the different chains, pitch, etc I would like some advice on a good chain. Won't be entering it in a lumberjack competition but just normal bucking, limbing.

If you're not in a hurry, news from Husky is that the 340's price is coming down. So a new saw with new warranty may not be much more.

There is a Husky 240 coming out soon.

The new 340 retails at $259 now, I wouldnt buy a used one for $200.

Email on 240 =
240 chain saw - 2.2 hp X-TORQ engine delivers high torque at low rpms, with reduced fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, the saw offers a tool-free chain adjustment option, allowing quick and easy chain replacements and adjustments.

Thanks for the heads up, I will hold off on my saw purchase for now. I would like to get a look at the 240 though :)
