Hi there, I am New to the milling game and until recently i have always had stihl/oregon bars in the 36" range. With the mill i have i am running an older cannon 48" with the old style 3 rivet tip. The tip has been starting to wear and saw shops in my area arent able to find the 3 rivet tips in 404 besides that i finally tweaked the bar and am looking at finally getting a new one. I dont mind the cannon bars but i am curious if there are other brands out there making bars in the 46" and up range? and or at a better price? If so where would i be able to find them.

Smaller amount of wood to remove means faster ,less wast , lighter , easier to sharpen, saves gas and oil ,wear on saw is a lot less , faster . the negtive is it needs sharpened more often than 404 . i run 3/8 on my 88 on a 60"bar and never had a problem . Cause they told me to :hmm3grin2orange:

You can get the bar rebuilt , they are nice bars .

How tweaqed is the bar? I have .404 and 3/8's tips if your interested. If you dead set on buying a new bar I would be interested in buying your old bar if it can be fixed. What powerhead are you using for milling?

It took me a little while with the press at work to get it back to perfect but i was able to straighten the bar back out. The tips that i am looking for are the old style oregon 3 rivit tips, if you have any of those i would be interested. I am running a stihl 084av. View attachment 283617
