Tightening Bar Nuts:

Two things to look at, one you mentioned lift the nose; the other is tighten the nuts on the side cover in order: the nut furthest to the rear first then the one closest to the front, it makes a difference.

Thanks for the info, geofore. I can't say as I've ever seen that in print or have been told that in my life (as far as tighteing the bar nuts). Sort of makes sence, so may adapt it in my chain set up. Thanks. Lewis.
