I would like to sugest, once you need a new guide bar. Switch from the 3/8 050 gauge, go to the 3/8 (.063) gauge semi chisel
chain you will have great luck.

This may seem a dumb questions but if i do that wont i have to change drive sprocket to accomdate the larger gauge? And i dont think ill ever wear this bar out because i just dont cut enough big stuff i purchased it for the little times i really need it. I think this bar will last me a life time.

the only time you should change the sprocket is when you are switching pitches or when the sprocket is whooped
