I have been reading some threads where people brought up different oil/gas mixtures to use and different oil's to use.

What is your favorite mix ratio?

What is your favorite oil?

Extra Virgin Olive Oil1:32 Port Wine vinegar w/ cloves of garlic
in all my two trokes.
In all of my trimmers and saws, any name brand oil in a
mixture range of 32:1 to 50:1, using any octane I happen to
have, no meltdowns yet.

Husqvarna XP Premium Mix, built-in Stabilizer, 50:1 with 92/93 Octane. Started it using before all my equipment was stolen, mostly Husqvarna stuff, and just never bothered changed over to anything else.
Grateful

Yeah, if you switch to junkier saws, they won't get stolen as
often.
Ben, I am afraid you may have a substance abuse problem for
being such a young squirt. Can we all come over for a woodtick intervention?

>Yeah, if you switch to junkier saws, they won't get stolen as often. Fish

Hahahahaha, Didn't switch for any particular reason other than I found a slightly used 046M for half the new price and at a reputable dealer at that. Was going to get a another 371/372XP. Never really liked my Husky 55 so I bought another Stihl so it won't "clash" with the 046M. May it never happen to you Fish!
Grateful

Way off Topic sorry

Hey My2Cents,

I see your in Brookline NH maybe we could get together sometime I don't live to far away from there..What do you think??I would have emailed you but I see you don't want to be..

Later Rob..

Depends....

Husky Oil and 93 octane at these ratios:

50:1 No mosquitos present
40:1 Some mosquitos present
30:1 Good number of mosquitos present
20:1 Alot of mosquitos present
10:1 The mother of all mosquito swarms present
5:1 Man, they're EVERYWHERE! AAAHH!! I NEED A TRANSFUSION!! (Also works for when there's too many gawkers)

You guys better be joking about the viniger. lol. :alien:

Myself, I use stihl brand oil at 38:1 (I'm boring aren't I? I should be more creative).

Balsamic vinegar is for pussies! It also raises the octane and that
is not desirable!!! I like a good strong PING when I rev up my
"Fisherized" Eager Beaver, and the preignition cleans the top of
the piston. It is the use of synthetic bar oil that gives me the edge in competition. It is my special blend. I mix it with liquid
nitrogen so my new "Maglev" chain gets up to speed, as my
superconductive bar has just hit the market.
But I digress..........
I have said too much already.

Fish: that nitridized finish you get on the chain is super, just make sure you do any alterations before you dip it in the liquid nitrogen cause you cant touch it with a file afterwards. Fortunately it is self sharpening.
