anyone know of some chainsaw trousers (all round protection) that dont rip at the crotch the first time you bend down (with your back straight of course) to pick something up

We carry the Husqvarna chainsaw pants, which I've never heard anyone complain about as far as durability goes.

just go to our site (click the Sherrill banner at top of page) and type into the search field exactly what is between the quotes, "chainsaw, pants" .

I have a pair of husky pants that haven't given me any problems. Even fairly comfortable on 90+ days.

Get a pair that a slightly (slightly) to big for you, this will allow you to have more movement in the crutch area as well as being cooler, my last pair lasted me nearly 10 month, wearing them every day. (okay they were totally munted by then!)

The Husky bibs are nice too. Only problem with the bibs I find is WHILE CLIMBING in them. The elastic suspenders kinda get a little too stretchy and I find myself having to keep pulling them back over my shoulders after a few moves in the tree.

I cross the suspenders and this helps but can cause the chest to bunch up a bit. Over all I love'em.

My husky pants have a vented cortch made of a spandex type material. Real nice to wear, not too hot in the summer either.

I can vouch for the Husky pants as well, at least the ones they sell up here which are also marketed with a Jonsered label on them. I just bought a new pair of the latter as no amount of stitching would hold my old two pair together-I think the nylon gets weak after a while.
