change ms251c from 325 to 3/8 lp chain does a ms 170/80 clutch spur swap over?

i want to do this other than buy another new bar, i have a number of new bars and chains for ms 170/180 @ 3/8 lp and thought if i fitted a 3/8 lp spur i could use them up. i can get a 3/8 6t spur thats one tooth down from the 7 fitted, which wouldnt bother me. thanks in advance

Yes, you can. I use 170 bar and 3/8P chain on MS 251 without any issue.

edit: just more info. my 251 came with 3/8P bar and drive sprocket from factory
