today while doing my rummage rounnd to the garage sales i came across a partner chainsaw. by checking acresinternet, and by discussion with owner it appears to be either a r22 or r23. hes willing to sell for cheap($20cad). the saw is a runner, can be a bit catankerous to start(priming through carb works).

my questions are:
1)is this saw a users or a collector item
2)are parts available
3)how does it compare to the other makers for quality

Dang it, I HATE that! Why is it that every weekend SOMEone walztes into a yard sale and picks up a Husqvarna 2100 or a Stihl 046 (or both) for like twelve bucks???

That NEVER happens to me!

Seriously, though, that a good find.. I've been hoping to fun into such a deal on a Partner. I recommend a carb job... cheap, easy, and there's a strong likelyhood that it'll fix you right up. I would also recommend carefully looking over your fuel lines and filters.
