Hi Dennis, I think what happened was your bar was addressed for Ontario Calif., so when the box got damaged the P.O., just assumed it belonged to either Ed Heard or I, so I intercepted it when it came thru Toronto which is the capital city of Ballinafad.
One 088 on it's way Dennis.

All things aside I can't believe the bar slipped from the box, I normally use 1 full roll of tape, Lame'bert, Steve and Dozer's were all packaged the same way.

Tom the 090's will be there Tues with the Swing arm, I'll give you a little theropy Tip. "get my work done first" then tell us if your better. I do however feel bad about the bar.

Mike, Thanks for posting the pics. This file has a "V" shaped edge?
Am I seeing this right? Thats where U R getting the 6 sides.
Do you know where I can call and order a chain and file.

Good closeup pictures. To point out another way, the loggers I have been around have the file 180 deg. from that and file down into the chain.

I have heard it's easiest to file from the outside in, the opposite of round filing. I've also heard to stand the saw vertically instead of horizontally for filing.
Taking a picture of a small file is hard. I attached a drawing of the end profile. Black is the file, the red line shows where the cutter rides.

looks kinda like an depth gauge file to me.. oops just checked.. no cutters on my edges .. i did have a couple of files that looked just like gauge files with edge cutters..dont even know where i gottum..

I was looking thru the new Madsens catalog and the Oberg 150 double ender is back. Just to let you all know where to send s few bucks these files are the cats azz for square ground shain.
