I think it was 1984.. just starting to sell wood.. my equipment consisted of a home-a-lite xl 12, a 1967 1/2 Chevrolet with coil springs.. and a old dull wore out wood handled busting maul..
I remember picking out a hackberry that was about 3 feet in diameter.. I sunk my saw into it to cut out a wedge and went a wee bit too far.. the tree sat down on my saw and there I was... my only option was to chop it down.. my only tool was the busting maul...the dull busting mall.. so for the next few hours I chopped and chopped, or rather beat and beat until I got it down... I had a lot more energy back then as I still managed to cut an split a load before I left...lol
