Hello
I have a very old Clarke Log Buster 7 which I have inherited and I'm after some help please!
It stopped working the other week so I sent it back to Machine Mart and it got fitted with a new capacitor.
I got it back and split 2 logs and now the arm / pusher doesn't move...I checked the oil and the dip stick was as dry as a bone!
Today I went to fill it with some hydraulic oil and proceeded to fill, but I think I have over filled it - i added 1 3/4 litres of oil and it almost came out the hole...the bleed nut was open too...
so my question is, have i over filled? the dipstick now is completely covered obviously! Shall I let some oil go?
I suppose the main question is, have I broken it as I operated it without much oil? Am I wasting my time?
From a newbie...thanks in advance...

Manual says it holds 3.5 litres of oil so if it was empty I doubt that you over filled it but maybe it wasn't empty m, maybe it was just below the dipstick level. Then is a troubleshooting guide that might help you. It advises contacting Dealer for most stuff though. Make sure you read the part about the bleed screw, sounds like this might be the issue. https://www.clarkeservice.co.uk/manuals/log_busters/logbuster7.pdf
