Cleaning a chainsaw, what do avoid?

Spray this on it, wait 2 minutes, blow of with low air repression (40-50 psi max)
Wipe with clean rag...like new again.

What would be ideal is to spray it off with hot water but few of us have a hose hooked up to a water heater...hot water dries faster and eliminates a lot of the rust..


Not a real big fan of spraying water (hot or cold) all over certain types of equipment, to include chainsaws / O P E .

Water can and does get into areas that not even compressed air can rid the water of. Things like electrical connections, coils, and the like.

Nothing wrong with a wet rag though. I had a friend that used a pressure washer to clean his expensive Harley with. Yeah, he cut a lot of time doing that, but it was no surprise that he had all sorts of rust and corrosion issues.

Can you say water vapor on the inside of your instrument cluster as well. :laugh:
