Cascade Tree Service, LLC. is searching for a part time and a full time experienced Arborist Climber in King, Pierce, Thurston, Snohomish counties.
The ideal candidates will have 1+ years’ experience climbing with rope and saddle in the tree care industry.
Responsibilities:
· Performs all required ground and climbing duties in support of the specific job assignment.
· Utilizes ALL personal protection equipment (PPE).
· Ability to identify basic tree and shrubs common to service area.
· Understanding of tree and shrub growth.
· Demonstrates sound tree risk assessment skills.
· Participates in gear, tool and equipment maintenance at the shop and in the field.
· Skilled in hoisting tools and equipment while suspended in tree, and safely lower branches with ropes or block and tackle.
· Skilled in knot tying and practical knowledge for each knot used in the field.
· Skilled in proper climbing and cutting techniques and procedures.
· Skilled and practices proper trimming, topping, limbing-up, pruning, shaping and removal of trees and shrubs.
· Skilled and practices proper rigging techniques.
· Reports for duty on time and ready to work.
· Follows directions from Crew Leader and Supervisor.
· Understands and adheres to all safety rules and company safety policies.
· Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility.
Requirements:
· Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.
· Must have an acceptable driving record.
· Must pass a background and drug test.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Physical ability to, climb a tree with the assistances of ropes, the ability to use a chain saw up to 30 lbs., use an ax and other hand tools when needed as well as lift and drag over 50 lbs. at a time.
