Clutch cover stuck on the saw, husqvarna 555

Hi, after getting my saw pinched today the chainbrake wouldn’t release. The break moves back and forth and makes the sounds of a properly functioning brake but it doesn’t release. How do I get the cover off?

I'd say gently pry it off if you can't release the band.

Yeah , gently might not get you there but it'll have to come off either way.

It apparently disengaged/reset/came loose on its own.

I have a small Husky, and if you engage the chainbreak, you can't disengage it until you loosen the two bar nuts, press in hard on the top of the cover where the chainbreak goes into the bracket, then reset it.

Yes it does. I plan on doing that soon

The entire clutch cover is usually pretty cheap.
