You're odds of causing a problem with taking a new saw apart are high unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing.
Who would even want to take a brand new saw you just bought apart? Just go cut wood!

My BIL's nephew needed money and sold me a 455 Rancher for $100.00 looked like brand new. I told him if he got on his feet and wanted it back to just give me the $100 Back. Been over a year and have not heard from him.

I have had my 455 for over 8 years now and run at least 2 tanks of fuel and yes oil through it a week I wouldn't trade it for two 290's but that's just my opinion. I tinker and take care of property but I did buy my saw at a husky dealer and I know that big box stores do not sell the same saw looks can be deceiving. And by all means I am not a "husky" guy if the saw runs good it is a good saw if it cuts good it is a great saw. I always clean my 455 after every use sharpen it and put it away ready to use again she has never let me down but I did find that if u put a 16" or even 18" bar on it instead of the 20" it is a bear.
