Starts then stalls? Just on choke? (Not pouring gas into the cylinder)
That's more times than not a carburetor issue:
- Fuel pump diaphragm broken or stiff
- Metering diaphragm stiff or broken and either flooding or not allowing fuel to flow
- something plugged or badly out of adjustment in the high or low speed fuel circuit
- Fuel inlet needle sticking or not seating
Can also be a pinched or cracked fuel line.

The spark jumping into the fuel in tank and the fuel putting it out so won’t run.
Do ya have a "PREFERRED" way to Diagnosis and fix this?
Yes, it’s the oil in the fuel mix that kills spark, you need to run a tank or two of straight unleaded fuel, no oil and level it back out.
