I would never park under one. Anyone here who deals with erythrina, coral, know this is a tree that is meant to be pollarded. This was from a call this morning and had to pull 3 guys for 6 hours to get it done.

The city planners in NE Ohio are pretty dumb. If only these trees could tolerate the climate zone of NE Ohio......
 
Those are the biggest Coral trees I've ever seen. I like them when all the leaves are gone and the red flowers are blooming. Wouldn't have one in my yard though. Every year after or during a strong wind were doing clean up on a coral tree somewhere. Like you said, nice when their small, but they don't stay that way long. Beastmaster
