I would sure like to know myself. I think it is pretty damm sad there is a ton of AS members in a 100 mile radius of Gary IN and not one will put a GTG together:mad: There were two guys that put together great GTG's a few years back but nothing in the last 2 years. If I hosted one herenot a soul would show up as I am too far west for the OH/IN guys (for good reason)

Well, not many members around here are farmers with enough out of the way property to host a GTG.

You ought to know how farmers act if you ask them to use a corner of there pasture or something like that.

There is a perfect place to have one on a empty farm less the 2 miles from my house but the farmer won't enemy talk of letting me host a GTG there and he is even my cousin.

Hang tight, I'm still looking.

Thanks for that bit of insperation. :hmm3grin2orange:

Thankfully, a fuel line will be all you need.... a very nice specimen indeed! Aftermarket piston & rings are only around $30 though.:msp_thumbup:

Great job on the Poulan too, BTW.

Well the 2100 needs some antivibe mounts for sure, I can see the front 2 are torn in half. Hopefully, that's all it needs.

 I researched "enemy talk," but couldn't find a definition or explanation.

Them are some very nice examples, anyone would be proud to own either.

Glad you got that 8500 going, its looks awesome. Post some vids so i can see how much i regret selling it.

Don't be too hasty throwing the pieces of the antivibe bushings away. You may find that you need to glue them together. I had a new aftermarket mount tear off from one side while I was installing it. I am considering drilling a hole in either end and welding a section of rod into the holes. Two rods attached to one, alternating side only. Then filling the space with either RTV or window-weld type product.

Dissapointed Mark,,,
thot i was goin to see you with a " couple good sized " fat chicks :)

Original Husky parts should still be easy to get. If I recall, the 3120 shares the same AV mount.

Beautiful restoration on the 8500. How did you handle the paint job? Did you shoot sublime green?

Will do, but if you seen the time, work and money involved in this rebuild/restore, it would temper your regret somewhat.

Like I said I got lucky on getting that other saw for parts even before this one from you got here. This hobby takes patiance to wait on parts sometimes though.

Ron, it figures you would be the only one dissapointed by the lack of fat chicks. Well I reckon Scott would share in that dissapointment also. :msp_rolleyes:

Real easy to get the oem's and there cheap too, only $4.95 apiece and there on the way now.

Lot cheaper then NOS ones were for the 8500....
