Was looking for a place to buy slings/ choakers for crane work. Got a guy who is going to let me rent his crane for some jobs all he has is steel.
 
hanes supply has 5 branches in new york (some upstate) excellent price, service,helpful people. make all types in house-wire, fabric, roundslings, twinpath, and stock every kind of rigging hardware you could imagine.

Why bother if he's already got steel chokers? I've used three companys and they all ran steel. If I owned a crane I might tweek my set up, but as a renter take what they give ya. Margins are tight enough as is. Personally I prefer chokers over slings, no fear of slip on smooth barked trees.
