I am looking to sell my 090 as I really have no use for it other than to brag about having one. It runs strong and has recently had the carb gone through and tuned up. I have the utmost respect for anyone that uses something like this on a regualr basis. It truly is a monster. Anway, I am curious as to what it is worth. I have seen prices vary from one end of the spectrum to the other. I figured you folks here would have a good idea and be able to give me the best idea. Here is a pic of it and my others.

Thank you. Yes I did. The 090 and the 051 have had the most work done to them in terms of appearance. The 051 has been almost completely rebuilt. The 090 was already in great condition when I got it.

Value is subjective. It's whatever you think is a fair price and someone else is willing to give you. If what you think is fair, is above what anyone will give you, then your over valueing it. Conversely if you have people beating down the door to buy it quickly before you change your price, it's probably under valued. Value or what you can sell it for, have so many variables. Where (eBay?), what time of year, how do you advertise it, how many people know about it, so many questions on how to value something.

The 090's I see are priced, like the ones you mentioned, all over the board from 400 up.

My suggestion is to decide what you would like to get for it, and then set that as the fair price. You know how much you have into it, from the original purchase, updates, work and sentimental value to you. If you don't have to sell it right away, you may very well get what YOU want for it, if, however, you have to sell quickly then the price goes down.

It looks nice, if it runs as nice you should have no problem selling it for what you think is fair.

The value of anything is that point where a buyer & seller come to an agreement.
There was an 090 that sold this morning on Ebay for $899.00 (buy it now price). There was also another 090 that only got $385.00 bid on it, (reserve not met). Both claimed to be in excelent shape. The only difference I could tell was how bad someone wanted it.
Your 090 looks real nice. Hang in there, and you can probably get what you decide to ask for it.

Dougan just got $900 out of a 090 gear drive. I think that is completely nuts. I have a nice 090 gear drive here that I gave about $275 delivered. The value is whatever the market will accept. As far as I know a guy who lives about 5 miles away from me still has the last 090 that was sold by our local dealer. He wanted $850 for it. It seems 090's will bring $400-$750 with great ones going higher. I will be talking to a dealer tomarrow taht still has a brand new 090 that he has in a glass display case. He will not sell it to me.

Here in Sweden is a understanding among most collectors. No need to shift a lot of money.
Look at the car collectors that is just nuts.

I saw that too Bill. Hell, I am not lookin to rob anyone. My thoughts are just that it could do someone else more good that it will do me, but I also don't want to let it go for a song. Does that make sense? :)

I know how the collector market is Mange all too well. Of course it is for far different items than cars, but it is amazing the things that can happen on the auction floor depending upon who is bidding.
